Manchester Museum broadcasts to the world!

In the last few years the museum has been developing a fantastic set of films about the people’s experience of the the museum and what the objects mean to them.

The videos have been published on YouTube and range from children to community groups and academics. I recently filmed one with Roger Jacobi from the British Museum who has studied our Ice Age fossils for many years.

The conversations with community groups are especially interesting. Many of the videos show them talking about objects from around the world. They have helped us understand the significance of many of the objects in our collection.
